Liquid Meat is a Rock Band, established in 2003 by Freddie Mack, the son of legendary music producer Reinhold Mack, and godson of Freddie Mercury and John Deacon. The band was formed in the blistering heat of Los Angeles, in a garage in the San Fernando Valley. They made their stage debut on the Sunset Strip, at the Cat Club, a venue owned by the legendary drummer of the Stray Cats - Slim Jim Phantom. The following years, they played every bar and club the Greater Los Angeles Area had to offer, and recorded their first two albums (Beat The Meatles and Maximum Carnage).
In 2011, the Bavarian born rocker moved back to Munich and reformed Liquid Meat on his native soil. The bands first gig was at Wacken in 2012, opening for Henry Rollins on the famous Headbanger Stage. They hit the ground running, and recorded the next two albums (In Meat We Trust and Re-Beat the Meatles) in 2014. The Rock N Roll trio was interviewed and reviewed world wide and their song "They Lied" found its way on the airways in Germany. They continued playing the club and bar circuit all around Germany and Austria, including all the top local festivals such as the Tollwood, Theatron Musik Sommer im Olympia Park, as well as gigs in Munichs most renowned locations- the Backstage, Feierwerk, and everything in between.
Liquid Meat has seen its line up change over the years, and this would happen again in 2017. Freddie Mack moved to the bass and was joined by famed Munich guitar virtuoso Ritchie Kelly and renowned session drummer Tom Hauser. Together they recorded Liquid Meats 5th studio album- "Rock & Roll". Their single "Rock N Roll Dream Machine" not only made it onto the airwaves but stayed on regular rotation. Their run of concerts was unfortunately cut short by the Corona Virus, and Freddie Mack retreated to the Bavarian country side, where he decided to take a hiatus from Liquid Meat to focus on his solo project, exploring his singer songwriter roots.
But the Rock N Roll fire was never extinguished, and now Liquid Meat is back. Freddie Mack is joined by Phil Bondye on Lead Guitars and Gerry Spalink on Drums. Together they are preparing to record the newest and yet untitled Liquid Meat album, and are starting to book shows for 2026. They have been selected to rock the main stage at "Freddie Days" in Montreux Switzerland, an annual four day celebration of Freddie Mercury, for what would have been his 80th Birthday. Stay Tuned
